Saturday...

Events of Saturday included walking to town around 8pm for ice cream but they were closed. We walked around the pedestrian mall for a while people watching and being watched. We are unclear exactly what make us stand out – John’s height or maybe my choice of cloths. Who knows, but we provide a source of entertainment to the locals. We wondered along a street back to the hotel and came upon an old drunk man stumbling in the middle of the street. Lucky for him someone helped him to the side walk to sit and sleep off his drink(s). Then on the restaurant in our hotel for the real entertainment of the evening, a wedding reception. We watched several Russian traditions. Several folks were asked to sit on a napkin that had walnuts under it and guess how many. They did some sort of circle dance. 80’s music was cranked out. It was very enjoyable for us. John bought enough WIFI hours to watch the Braves game. Today we are going to the market for food for the little lady, organize our gifts for the orphanage, maybe a nice dinner out. The countdown is own and we are eager to get her. – Lee
PS: Mom – did you make it back from your trip?
Skinner – Remind us to tell you about the “flaming drink” this guy did one night.
Piece of info regarding Tver: Sun comes up at 4am – Sun goes down at 11pm. As if the days aren’t long enough alreay
